A Brief History

The business was founded in 1974 by Fred Booth and David Hore, who were both from structural engineering backgrounds, to serve the growing market for structural steelwork to the Petro Chemical Industry.
Over a period of a few short years the company grew into a larger premises. With the addition of a third partner Peter Muir and our reputation became more established in the Petro Chemical industry and we secured work from all the major companies.
The company was ideally placed to secure work from both the major ICI sites on Teesside namely Wilton and Billingham.
During the last 30 years the company has gained a high reputation for being able to tackle the more complex type of work, requiring a high degree of expertise and being able to work on live plants where safety has been the prime concern.
Today the company works from their purpose built engineering facility, with quayside access and close links to major road networks.
The company employs in excess of 80 long service, dedicated employees giving our clients full committment to their individual projects.
